The high-energy & high-voltage braking resistor designed and produced by Xi'an Shendian is used for emergent braking in 2.4m wind tunnel built by AVIC Aerodynamics Research Institute (AVIC ARI). The resistor needs to absorb the energy of more than 10 MJ in short time. The resistor passed the strict assessment of compressor, variable-frequency drive and other host device manufacturers, and was put into operation successfully in 2016.
