Beijing-Shanghai High-speed Railway

Beijing-Shanghai High-speed Railway, is also known as Beijing-Shanghai Passenger Dedicated Line and serves as a Beijing-Shanghai rapid passenger traffic corridor. It is one "east-west line" of "four east-west and four north-south" passenger dedicated lines, and is also one project requiring heavy investment and advanced technologies stated in Medium and Long-term Railway Network Plan in China.

Beijing-Shanghai High-speed Railway is a high-speed railway with long construction mileage, large investment and high standard since the establishment of People's Republic of China. The railway is 1,318km long, starting at Beijing South Station and ends at Shanghai Hongqiao Station, passing through three municipalities (Beijing, Tianjin and Shanghai) and four provinces (Heibei, Shandong, Anhui and Jiangsu), and connecting two major urban agglomerations (Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and Yangtze River Delta) together. With a total investment of about RMB 220.9 billion, the railway has 23 stations. Infrastructure design speed is 380km/h.
